Writing as an art

A novelist, a critic, a playwright, a poet, a philosopher, a scientist and even the musician whose work is translated into beautiful sounds are all writers. They all have something valuable inside to unfold in a moment of inspiration which springs suddenly into an action. But in fact, they have long experience accumulated and processed over the years, and writing is their tool to show and convey all they want which should be done skillfully.
Writing to the author is the brush to the painter, the violin to the musician, the dream to the romantic and the light to the dark. This is a magic tool, but it is a dangerous one as well; it is a double-edged sword, it either pushes the writer upwards to the peak of success or pulls him downwards to the bottom of failure. Therefore, dealing with this tool should be done very carefully so as to avoid any deviation or ambiguity that may affect negatively the objectives that he has aimed at. However the performance is technically and grammatically perfect, however the topic is well chosen and the detail is in support of abstraction, in case it is an essay, there is an important element that the writer, whatever he is, should never forget. It is the reader.
The reader we are talking about is quite intelligent. He looks in the eye of an artist, of an engineer, of a critic. He is rather the greatest critic, since he reads to acquire knowledge and get pleasure as well. So, if the writer could not attract the reader’s attention, the latter would simply close the book or turn the page seeking the best.
The successful writer does not impose his theories or ideas on the reader. He should always remember that he is not a tutor. The message he wants to convey should be smoothly presented through the emotions of the reader and assimilated into the brains. The reader is an individual of a certain character having his own beliefs, senses and emotions.
It is undeniable that perfection, precision, transparency, and true passion supported by an attractive style that’s simultaneously matching the age are the gold keys to the writer’s success, but he should never forget to be attentive to the needs of the reader. These essential factors together form the writer’s power that enables him to tread boldly on the track.
