Act, Even if Fear Has
Frozen You

Dear Friend ,

"Inaction breeds doubt and fear." ~ Dale Carnegie

The way to experience success in every endeavor in your life is to learn how to make things happen. Now each of us has his own methods, and I think that beneath each method there is a universal law at work. If we understand that law, we can enjoy anything we want. Here's the law:

Your mind (consciousness) awakens desire from within you.
Your desire kick starts your mind to begin to think, to act.
Keeping your thinking like your desire brings "Yes, I can."
And then you get to enjoy the desire in its manifest state.

I wish I could tell you that this law works flawlessly every single time, but some of you are adding something to this formula that keeps the law from working the way it is supposed to. Those things you add are called doubt and fear.

You sometimes have this tendency to doubt your own ability to have what you need, to enjoy what you want. It's called 'sticking a wrench in the gears." You stop the natural process with your doubt and your fear.

It takes courage to stifle your fears and doubts. It also takes wisdom that is born from your natural ability to reason through the tough spots. And that courage is a virtue that is born with you. You will have to work to bring it to the forefront, because when you do, you can then enjoy making true all the dreams for success that you want to happen.

What is fear anyway? Fear is the expectation of failure. It's the expectation of disappointment. It's one nasty habit that needs to be broken if you ever expect to create your desires successfully. Fear is irrational and it brings all of the monsters out from under the darkness. It's those nasty "what ifs" you dream up. What if I fail? What if my friend gets jealous? What if someone finds out? What if, what if, what if! You don't need to create these monsters. When you hear yourself doing that, just say "No. I won't think any what ifs any more. I'd rather think about successes."

We are avid learners when we are children. Some of us get into too comfortable attitudes about what we've learned and we decide we'll never leave our sense of safety, security, familiarity again. We now know enough and why make ourselves uncomfortable. You have to step outside what you knew in the past in order to keep on learning and achieving. Give yourself permission to become uncomfortable. It's a fleeting emotion that soon dissipates.

Decide that even if you are afraid, you're going to do it anyway. Every time I've done that, I'm astonished at how small what I once thought was a great big fear now appears to me. And why is this? Because when you take an action, the fear and the doubt shrinks down to its native nothingness and allows you to manifest your dreams.

Please remember this: it's YOU who has created the fear and doubt monsters and it's YOU who can snuff them out. I think the best way to kill the monsters under the stairs is to not feed them. They'll die from lack of attention. Get those success thoughts to the forefront and enjoy your successes.

Take Action Now

1. What is your biggest fear currently?
2. What three thought would you prefer were true about it that could take the place of your fear?
3. Write them down.
4. Think them three times each day for fifteen minutes at a minimum.
5. Watch for fear to subside and something better to take its place.

Be willing to do what's hard. If you're only willing to do what's easy, life will be hard. But if you're willing to do what's hard, life will be easy. ~ T. Harv Ecker

Warmly,
